Veligers — sounds like a word out of a Star Trek movie, but it’s not. In fact, it’s spreading throughout the waters of Texas and may be headed here soon. You as a fisherman or boater may be asking yourself, “What is a veliger and what does it have to do with me?” If you fish, boat, or use water from a municipal water source to shower, wash clothes, or drink, it has everything to do with you.
